SUPERSTAR celebs Kate Price and Victoria Beckham have soared along amazingly similar career paths to reach worldwide stardom. But who’s on top in the fame game?

We all know Kate – and her alter ego Jordan – has a knack for success. Despite only being 29, she already has a best-selling perfume and lingerie range under her belt and has plans for more business ventures.

But even she was amazed to learn that her latest book, Crystal, is outselling the top six authors in the dusty old Booker fiction awards put together.

Her success is in stark contrast to that of Victoria, 33, who wakes this morning to reports that a UK firm is enjoying bumper sales across the Atlantic with its T-shirts bearing the words “Bored of the Beckhams”.

MATT GLASS looks at how the busty babe from Brighton has pipped her skeletal rival to the top.

HOW THEY RATE

FASHION:

KATE: As a 32FF, she stuck to what she knows best by launching her own lingerie for women with larger breasts, below. She scored a big hit by shunning designer stores and offering the range exclusively for George at Asda.

VICTORIA: She used her position as “the stylish one” from the Spice Girls to launch her own clothing range with label Rock & Republic, above. But her former boss, Robert de Keyser, slammed them as “seriously overpriced for a line made out of a cheap fabric.”

POPULARITY:

KATE: Her popularity knows no bounds. Her reality TV show attracted millions of viewers desperate to catch a glimpse of the model’s world, and every product she touches turns to gold.

VICTORIA: Ever since she left the Spice Girls, pouting Victoria’s popularity has been on a downhill slide.
A website called BoredoftheBeckhams.com sold thousands of T-shirts emblazoned with their logo, and the bad news is that they’re a hit the other side of the Atlantic as well.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Good taste is a global language.
“The general weariness of all things Beckham has found its way over the foam to the good old US of A.
“They are superficial, trashy, tasteless and terrible for you in large doses.”

PERFUME:

KATE: Her perfume Stunning was released in August and flew off the shelves to become the No 1 in the UK.
In fact it was so popular that shops all over the country have sold out, and are having to restock in time for the Christmas rush.

VICTORIA: Posh’s fragrance Intimately was released at the same time as husband David’s, and she was shocked to learn that his outsold hers in the UK. Plus she failed to break the US market completely.
In the US, bottles of her scent, which sold for £20, were going for as little as 30p on eBay.

FAMILY:

KATE: Despite having to care for five-year-old Harvey, her disabled son by footballer Dwight Yorke, 35, Kate and husband Peter Andre, 34, have added to their brood with two more children – Junior, two, and four-month old Princess Tiaamii.
The couple love to work together, and their reality TV show, Katie and Peter, allowed cameras into their homes.

VICTORIA: Also a mum of three. She has sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz. Although Posh belongs to one of the most famous families in the world but they didn’t appear in her documentary Coming to LA.
Victoria was also rocked by rumours that husband David, 32, had cheated on her with Rebecca Loos, 30.

CAREER:

KATE: First appeared in the Daily Star at 17. Now worth around £30million, has a best-selling perfume, books and her own TV show. She’s now planning ranges of bed linen and make-up.

VICTORIA: When she and David met, Posh was a worldwide superstar as one of the Spice Girls, and he was an up-and-coming footballer.
How things have changed!
Now Victoria is trying to revisit her golden days after 10 years for the Spice Girls tour this year.
