IT’S now odds-on that the election will be held May 6.

Ministers yesterday announced a shorter than usual Easter break.

They’re due back in Parliament on the exact date Gordon Brown is widely expected to announce a vote.

That’s no coincidence.

Have no doubt – this election will be the most important in a long time.

Britain is in a mess.

We have crawled our way out of the worst recession since World War Two.

And we still face a possible “double dip” back into the red.

The country is in debt to the tune of £178billion for this year alone. And we are facing huge tax rises to stop our economy going under.

One in four working-age Brits now don’t have any paid work.

This nation is in crisis. It’s vital every reader votes.

We can make the difference.

Be at that ballot box come polling day.
